Stranger Things fans, get ready to return to Hawkins one last time! In a thrilling update for fans across the globe, Netflix has officially announced the release date of the first teaser for the final season of sci-fi series Stranger Things. The teaser drops today, July 16, marking the beginning of the 'one last adventure" for the beloved supernatural saga. Fans were left excited when the official Stranger Things handle on X shared an exhilarating update. 'One last adventure begins. Teaser tomorrow," it wrote on the micro-blogging site and fans have been in a frenzy since. The announcement of the teaser release came with a brand-new poster, which is packed with chilling callbacks to the show's earlier seasons. It features the core group—Will (Noah Schnapp), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo)—riding their bicycles against the backdrop of the landscape of Hawkins, Indiana. One last adventure begins 🚲Teaser tomorrow — sƃuᴉɥʇ ɹǝƃuɐɹʇs (@Stranger_Things) July 15, 2025 However, it was Vecna, essayed by Jamie Campbell Bower, who mostly dominated the poster. For those who have forgotten, Vecna was at the center stage, playing the menacing villain who wreaked havoc on the group in the fourth season of the series. It ended with Vecna's plan to completely destroy the barrier between the Upside Down and the real world. On the other hand, there was Eleven on her way to take down Vecna whereas Max's fate remained uncertain. Stranger Things Season 5 stars Joe Keery, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink and Jamie Campbell Bower in the lead roles. Earlier, Netflix confirmed to fans that the fifth season of the series will come out in batches, similar to how they did it with the fourth season of the smash-hit show. As per the reports, the OTT giant is set to release the first four episodes on November 26, followed by three others on Christmas (December 25). The finale of Stranger Things will premiere on December 31. While the show is still months away from release, the anticipation is quite high, hinting at a rollercoaster of emotions. With the group reuniting for one final showdown, fans are expecting high-stakes drama, supernatural confrontations and perhaps a heartbreaking farewell which, of course, they will never be ready for. Delhi School Bomb Threat Emails Were Sent From Germany? Exclusive From Investigators
At least five schools in Delhi received bomb threats on Wednesday – Richmondd Global School, Dwarka, Vasant Kunj, Paschim Vihar, Hauz Khas The origin of the bomb threat emails sent to Delhi schools on Wednesday, in the continuing series of such emails seen over the past year, has been traced to Germany, said investigators. However, they suspect the use of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) may have masked the actual location of the sender. A senior official involved in the investigation told News18 that the IP address of Wednesday's emails indicates a German network, with the email account also linked to a Germany-based provider. 'It appears to be a network IP, possibly associated with a public place or network, though the exact location is still being verified," the official said. Similar indicators were found in threats sent to other schools as well. At least five schools across the capital received fresh bomb threats today – Richmondd Global School (4.16 am), Dwarka (5.26 am), Vasant Kunj (6.30 am), Paschim Vihar (8.11 am), Hauz Khas (8.12 am). The threatening message read: 'Good morning. Explosive devices are hidden inside backpacks and placed around the classrooms of the school. This is extremely serious. You will all pay for your sins." The email also included a disturbing request to release certain withheld names to the media for publicity. Cyber investigators believe that the email was sent using Tuta Mail (formaly Tutanota), a Germany-based encrypted email service which recently launched new encrypted protocal. 'Tuta Mail, which recently launched a post-quantum encryption protocol called TutaCrypt, was used to send these threats," said a senior government cyber investigator. 'Tuta is an open-source, end-to-end encrypted email platform with over 10 million users. The company is also working on secure, post-quantum cloud storage solutions for the German government." Despite the technological barriers in tracing such messages, efforts are ongoing to identify the true source. Bomb disposal squads, local police, and cyber forensics teams were immediately deployed to all affected schools. As of now, no explosives or suspicious materials have been found. On Tuesday, St. Stephen's College and St. Thomas School had received similar threat emails, in the concerning trend of targeted hoaxes disrupting educational institutions across the city seen over the past year. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. UN expert Francesca Albanese rejects ‘unprecedented' US sanctions on her Israel criticism
The US sanctioned the UN's Francesca Albanese. She labelled the sanctions a violation of her immunity. She criticised US companies who trade with Israel. The UN's unflinching expert on Palestinian affairs Francesca Albanese said on Tuesday that Washington's sanctions following her criticism of the White House's stance on Gaza are a 'violation' of her immunity. The United Nations' Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories made the comments while visiting Bogota, nearly a week after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the sanctions, calling her work 'biased and malicious'. 'It's a very serious measure. It's unprecedented. And I take it very seriously,' Albanese told an audience in the Colombian capital. Albanese was in Bogota to attend an international summit initiated by leftist President Gustavo Petro to find solutions to the Gaza conflict. The Italian legal scholar and human rights expert has faced harsh criticism for her long-standing accusations that Israel is committing 'genocide' in Gaza. 'It's clear violation of the UN Convention on Privileges and Immunities that protect UN officials, including independent experts, from words and actions taken in the exercise of their functions,' Albanese said. Rubio on 9 July announced that Washington was sanctioning Albanese 'for her illegitimate and shameful efforts to prompt (ICC) action against US and Israeli officials, companies, and executives'. Abed Rahim Khatib/Anadolu via Getty Images The sanctions are 'a warning to anyone who dares to defend international law and human rights, justice and freedom', Albanese said. On Thursday, the UN urged the US to reverse the sanctions against Albanese, along with sanctions against judges of the International Criminal Court, with UN chief Antonio Guterres's spokesperson calling the move 'a dangerous precedent'. On Friday, the European Union also spoke out against the sanctions facing Albanese, adding that it 'strongly supports the United Nations human rights system'. Albanese, who assumed her mandate in 2022, released a damning report this month denouncing companies - many of them American - that she said 'profited from the Israeli economy of illegal occupation, apartheid, and now genocide' in the occupied Palestinian territories. READ | UN expert slams companies which 'profited from the violence, the killing' trading with Israel The report provoked a furious Israeli response, while some of the companies also raised objections. Washington in June slapped sanctions on four ICC judges, in part over the court's arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, barring them from the US. UN special rapporteurs like Albanese are independent experts who are appointed by the UN human rights council but do not speak on behalf of the United Nations. The war in Gaza was triggered on 7 October 2023 after Hamas militants killed 1 219 people in Israel and took hostages, according to an AFP tally based on official figures. More than 58 479 Palestinians have been killed in ongoing retaliation operations, according to data from the Health Ministry of the Hamas government, considered reliable by the UN. Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967 and violence has surged in the territory since October 2023.

Britain's Tara Moore Handed Four-Year Ban After CAS Upholds ITIA Appeal
Last Updated: Tara Moore, former top-ranked British doubles player, has got a four-year ban after CAS upholds ITIA's appeal on her nandrolone doping violation. Britain's Tara Moore, cleared of an anti-doping rule violation, received a four-year ban on Tuesday after the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld an appeal by the International Tennis Integrity Agency. Moore, once Britain's top-ranked doubles player, was suspended in June 2022 because of the presence of prohibited anabolic steroids Nandrolone and boldenone. Moore stated that she had never taken a banned substance in her career and an independent tribunal determined that contaminated meat she consumed in the days before sample collection was the source of the prohibited substance. Moore lost 19 months in the process before being cleared of the ADRV, but CAS upheld the ITIA's appeal against the initial 'No Fault or Negligence" ruling regarding nandrolone. 'After reviewing the scientific and legal evidence, the majority of the CAS Panel considered that the player did not succeed in proving that the concentration of nandrolone in her sample was consistent with the ingestion of contaminated meat," CAS said in a statement. 'The panel concluded that Ms Moore failed to establish that the ADRV was not intentional. The appeal by the ITIA is therefore upheld and the decision rendered by the Independent Tribunal is set aside." Moore had expressed how her reputation, ranking and livelihood 'slowly trickled away" during the 19 months of her initial suspension. Moore filed a cross-appeal at CAS 'seeking to dismiss the ITIA appeal, dismiss the nandrolone result in the ADRV, or confirm that she bears no fault or negligence". However, CAS declared the cross-appeal inadmissible and Moore's four-year period of ineligibility will start from July 15, with credit for any provisional suspension already served. 'Our bar for appealing a first instance decision is high, and the decision is not taken lightly," ITIA CEO Karen Moorhouse said in a statement. 'In this case, our independent scientific advice was that the player did not adequately explain the high level of nandrolone present in their sample. Today's ruling is consistent with this position."
